Reportée is a software company that builds patent-pending business tools that simplify and automate the process of inputting data. We make data work by modifying the traditional one way data flow to include multiple data entry mediums and multiple feedback loops. Uniquely, we focus on providing a fax to Web/Web to fax bi-lateral data exchange that delivers very high accuracy with exciting Returns on Investments. Our approach is to focus on firms that are able to structure the format(s) of the data they receive. Within that group, we target those with sensitivity to both cycle time and errors. This sensitivity has resulted in the retention of manual processes. Reportée provides a broad variety of form automation solutions serving Education (Distance), Government, Health Care, Payroll, and Staffing. In 2001, Reportée developed TIMEMANAGER", a web, fax and phone based reporting application that targeted Staffing and Professional Services. We wanted to automate the fax-in timesheet process. We quickly realized that to do this we would need to develop a highly structured form methodology. We began looking for imaging, mark and character recognition tools that we could leverage inside our form automation software. Faxed images predominately come through as skewed and compressed. This leads to the very difficult job of data extraction from non-standard faxed images. We chose to implement ImagXpress Professional, which we upgraded to .Net in order to take advantage of the managed code. We also chose to use SmartScan Xpress ICR/OCR/OMR/MICR to help us with this job. Pegasus' customer support gave us incredible problem resolution from an application perspective, which is what we valued most. Pegasus was willing to look at what we were trying to accomplish and share their software's capabilities to the fullest. The flexibility of ImagXpress allowed us to adapt the software to meet all of our needs. Pegasus was also very open to suggestions. |
