Pegasus Imaging Newsgroups

Support is available through the Pegasus Imaging news forums. Often you will find that your questions have already been asked and answered by the Pegasus Imaging support team. If not, please post your question in the appropriate news forum. Please do not cross post.

You can access the newsgroups using HTTP Newsgroups Access or through your news client using the following links and the configuration tips below.

The following newsgroups allow you to access product-specific newsgroups:

There is a newsgroup discussion of Pegasus Imaging's technologies, how they work, what features are available, how the development tools function and so forth. Some of the technologies include JPEG, M-JPEG, video, Wavelet, zooming, color mapping and lossless image (and audio) compression; and Pegasus Imaging's patented ELS arithmetic coder and patent pending zooming technology. Newsgroup Configuration Tips
The Pegasus Imaging news server name is news.pegasusimaging.com. You will need a news capable web browser or a NNTP news client in order to participate.

Netscape Communicator Configuration Tips:
  1.Click Communicator from the Window menu.
  2.Click Collabra Discussion Groups from the Options menu. The Netscape Message Center Window opens.
  3.Click File from the Window menu.
  4.Click New Discussion Group Server from the Options menu.
  5.In the Server box, enter news.pegasusimaging.com.
  6.Make sure the "Secure" and "Always use name and password" boxes are not checked.
  7.Click OK.

Outlook Express:
  1.Click Tools, Accounts from the top menu
  2.Click Add, News...
  3.Enter a Display Name, click Next.
  4.Enter your email address, click Next.
  5.In the NNTP Server box, enter news.pegasusimaging.com.
  6.The "This Server Requires Me to Logon" box should not checked.
  7.Choose your connection type and click Finish.

Microsoft Configuration Tips:
  1.Start the Microsoft Internet Mail and Newsreader Client.
  2.From the Message menu, choose Options.
  3.Click on the Server tab.
  4.Click the Add button in the New Servers section.
  5.Enter news.pegasusimaging.com in the News Server Name box.
  6.The "This Server Requires Me to Logon" box should not checked.
  7.Click OK.
  8.When prompted to add the newsgroups from news.pegasusimaging.com to your list of favorite newsgroups, click yes.
  9.Click OK to return to the main window.
